tossed up a new banner folks, it takes a little longer to load than the old one, but I felt like a change :)

Theorectically the map'd be over the top, n it'd just effect the image anyway.

A banner showing three or four characters of the original John Byrne run
" " showing the "women of Alpha"
" " showing the villians of Alpha, etc., etc,

Or, to be more fair to ben, how about a Banner of the month (Ben's told me that creating new banners is a pain in the keister, and not to meantion, unlike me and many of the others on here, his life doesn't revolve around this list. Hard to pay rent by fanforum moderation)

I agreee... this one is great! Its funny though... I've been studying Guardian in detail lately, looking at lots of pics and has anyone noticed that originally (like in AF vol 1 no. 1 and around there, original Byrne stuff basically) that the right hand side of his costume was a lot less thick than the left, you could barely see it from a frontal view and then as others took over, it shifted to being like the above. Personally I like it this way better...

Thanks :) I use Paint Shop Pro actually. You can do almost as much with it as Photoshop now, and I know the program inside and out since I've been using it in it's varrious versions for about 10 years.

I had momentarily considered Namor, but decided on The Master to give it a sort of menacing feel. He has been behind so much of the Marrina/Plodex stuff in the past that he tied in nicely. It also sort of makes me wonder, is he in the background of this somewhere?....

An interesting possibility, considering the ship most certainly has more of his DNS samples than it would know what to do with....could make a very interesting background, and lead to some pretty cool stories down the road.

It's all practice man. I've been doing this stuff for so long, it's second nature. Ever need tips lemme know. I actually don't use photoshop, I use Paint Shop Pro. It can do just about everything photoshop can, but I prefer the interface. I've been using PSP since it first came out, and have used every new version as it came out, so I know the program inside out by now.

Thanks for the comments on the banner folks. In case anyone was wondering, the pic of Wildchild (fiirst one on the left) was from AF 28. I always get frustrated using older images for graphics, as you get the old-school RBG dots showing up in the scan, no matter what manipulation you do, they always show up. So I de-coloured the image, and coloured it digitally myself. I'm quite happy with the result. In reducing the colours for web, ithe purple came out less smothe than the original job, but all-in-all I think it looks decent. I've always found long hair tough, and tried a differenet technique this time.
